The Public Governance Programme and the OECD Public Governance Directorate co-hosted the 3rd INDIGO Network Meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) at the Ayana Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia on 20 May 2026.
The OECD INDIGO (Innovative, Digital and Open Government) Network for the Southeast Asia region gathered around 50 participants from seven Southeast Asian countries and OECD member countries including Australia, Japan, Korea and the United Kingdom, with Indonesia and Korea co-chairing the session.
Participating countries shared progress on digital public infrastructure including digital identity and shared platforms, and identified AI adoption and data governance as shared priorities. The OECD presented a framework for trustworthy AI drawing on analysis of over 4,000 government AI use cases, while Korea shared its experience on legal foundations for data-driven public services and the Gov24+ platform.
In the afternoon, discussions covered digital public infrastructure best practices, an interactive workshop on public service continuity in times of crisis, and ways to enhance citizen engagement through AI and blockchain. The next INDIGO Network Meeting is set to be held in Seoul in 2027.
